Complex High End Residential renovation project in Ware.

At Next Generation Rooflights, we specialise in overcoming architectural challenges. The Sacombe Park project—a prestigious residential renovation in Ware—showcased our ability to transform complex design requirements into stunning, functional solutions.

Our role in this ambitious project centred on crafting bespoke rooflight systems that balanced sustainability, aesthetic integrity, and cutting-edge performance.

Key Challenges and Innovative Solutions

Innovation and quality define our approach. For the Sacombe Park renovation, we designed and installed a custom oversized five-section rooflight, spanning an impressive 15.6m in width and 6.5m in height. Each of the 6.5m x 3.1m panes of Low Iron Toughened and Laminated Double Glazed Glass weighed over 2,000kg. Precision was paramount, as the panes were lifted five stories high using a mobile crane, ensuring flawless installation.

This feature was complemented by:

  • 9 Fixed Rooflights
  • 3 Hinged Rooflights
  • 1 Sliding Rooflight (2.3m x 1.9m) providing a 100% opening for enhanced ventilation and functionality.

Each element was engineered with thermally efficient glass, amplifying natural light while significantly improving energy performance. Our seamless integration of these modern features preserved the building’s historic aesthetic, harmonising innovation with heritage.

Sustainability was central to the Sacombe Park project. We prioritised environmentally friendly materials and techniques, successfully reducing the carbon footprint of the installation.
